All Silván diamond jewelry is made in our jewelry workshop in Hyvinkää. The workshop employs a dozen goldsmiths, whose skilled hands create the diamond jewelry of the Silván collection as well as the custom work of our customers, and the workshop also serves jewelry cleaning and repair work. The Silván jewelry collection is named after Keijo Silván, the founder of Laatukoru, who started making jewelry in the basement of his home in 1972. Now in its third generation, the family business manufactures Silván diamond jewelry in the footsteps of its founder Keijo Silván.

The gold in the Silván jewelry collection is 100 percent recycled and the diamonds are selected with exact criteria. Silván pendants are always made from the best materials, such as 14 or 18 karat yellow and white gold. The recycled gold we use is always melted down and cleaned carefully, in which case it is always used as a material from the taxes of freshly mined gold. In this way, we reduce the environmental impact of gold production and the need for new gold mining, without compromising on quality. We buy the diamonds we use from large European diamond exchanges that are committed to complying with industry standards. These include, for example, compliance with human rights at different stages of production, consideration of environmental impacts, maintenance of safe and responsible work practices and support of local communities. The diamond trade also does not support the financing of rebel movements. We always require a written certificate from our suppliers about the origin and ethics of the diamonds. For the customer, the Silván diamond pendant comes with a certificate of authenticity, which indicates the quality and authenticity of the diamonds.
