We require our diamond suppliers to commit to industry standards and act responsibly. In the production of Silván diamond rings, human rights are observed at every stage of production, environmental impacts are taken into account, safe work practices are maintained and local communities are supported. The diamond trade also does not support the financing of rebel movements. A certificate of authenticity of the diamonds is delivered to the customer with the Silván diamond rings.

Diamond jewelry purchased from Laatukoru is accompanied by a diamond authenticity certificate, which indicates the quality and authenticity of the diamonds. The diamonds in Silván jewelry, which are 0.50ct or more in carat size, are GIA certified, so their origin is fully traceable. Diamond jewelry of at least 0.50 ct purchased from quality jewelry is delivered with a diamond authenticity certificate and a GIA certificate. GIA-certified diamonds have been produced in accordance with internationally recognized labor, trade and environmental standards. Diamonds under 0.50ct do not come with a free GIA certificate, but it can be ordered separately at the customer's request.

Silván Rings from 100% Recycled Gold

Silván engagement rings are available in 14 and 18 karat yellow, white and rose gold. The gold used in the rings is 100% recycled. We buy the gold we use for rings from our customers as "scrap gold", after which we clean and process this "scrap gold" into new fine gold. This is how the gold circulates from our customers back to our customers as new Silván jewelry. The tone of the gold ring is made by mixing fine gold with other metals. Yellow gold and rose gold are obtained by adding silver and copper to fine gold in the appropriate ratio, and white gold is created by mixing gold with, for example, palladium. By alloying fine gold with other metals, it also gets hardness. As it is, fine gold is too soft a material to use for jewelry.
