You can clean the silver surface with a soft cloth intended for it, and a good way is to do a light cleaning after each use. When the silver chain gets dark enough, it is no longer enough to clean everything. In this case, it is worth cleaning it with, for example, a foaming paste intended for cleaning silver. In severe cases, it is worth taking the chain to a professional for cleaning and at the same time you can also ask for a polish.

A gold chain is ideal because it does not darken with use like a silver chain. However, a gold chain can get dirty and lose its luster over time. A gold chain can be cleaned and polished with a cloth intended for it and you can also use mild soapy water. There are cleaning agents for gold jewelry on sale, but you can also use mild dishwashing liquid to clean gold jewelry. If your gold chain is badly worn or dirty, it is worth taking it to a professional for maintenance. Laatukoru's own goldsmiths also maintain jewelry at our Hyvinkää jewelry workshop. The workshop uses, among other things, an ultrasonic cleaner for cleaning jewelry, which removes dirt and darkening even from the most difficult crevices.
