Kalevala Himmeli Yellow Gold Necklace Designed by Paula Häiväoja, Made to Order

The Himmeli necklace, designed by Paula Häiväoja in the 1960s, returns to Kalevala's collection as a spectacular celebratory version, faithfully replicating the original piece. Crafted from recycled 14-carat yellow gold, the necklace features squares, smooth surfaces, and subtly textured surfaces that form a bold, art-like ensemble. This distinctive and futuristic necklace is composed of articulated parts that sit spectacularly and beautifully around the neck.

Kalevala's goldsmiths create the necklace according to the original Himmeli necklace design by Paula Häiväoja from the 1960s. It is available in three lengths: 40, 45, and 50 cm. Each necklace is made to order as part of a limited series of no more than 90 numbered pieces. This is a made-to-order product with a delivery time of approximately 8 weeks.

Kalevala Jewelry will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2027, with a strong focus on the history and future of Finnish jewelry design. In the anniversary collection, beloved jewels and bold design ideas from Kalevala's archives are given new life as contemporary interpretations. Inspiration has been drawn particularly from the jewelry art of the 1960s and 1990s, showcasing Kalevala's characteristic open-mindedness, strong design language, and connection to Finnish nature and mythology. The celebration of Kalevala Jewelry's 90th anniversary will begin in autumn 2026, and in honour of the occasion, some pieces will be marked with a special 90th-anniversary stamp until the end of 2027.
