Silver objects add a touch of luxury to our lives and their timelessness is often associated with fond memories.

Tapio Wirkkala, a designer and sculptor known for his modern formal language, was particularly fond of large surfaces, heavy objects and simple, clean shapes. On the surfaces of objects, Wirkkala used gloss and dimming to create spectacular effects. These characteristics of Wirkkala's design are well reflected in the precious metal objects he designed for the Gold Centre.
